This project originally started in 2018 when Jeremy Willet traveled to Mozambique, Africa to live with his sponsored child, Sbossisso for an entire month. Originally self documenting the journey on his iPhone this trip became the foundation for a live stage presentation that has now lead to hundreds of thousands of children being sponsored with ChildFund… but it all started with the story.
The impact
In 2020, GLBAL media returned to Mozambique with Jeremy and staff from ChildFund to film follow up content and the impact child sponsorship was having in the community. The results were astonishing. In an area where children once had to walk miles for water they now had access to a clean water well that was serving the entire community. Utilizing aerial footage from a drone we were able to document how widespread this impact really was.
WinterJam 2026
For WinterJam 2026 we reformatted the footage to fit the full stage LED wall and accompanying back screens and incorporated alpha layers for iMag throughout the file.
We also created custom preroll and intermission content with QR codes to continue sharing the story even outside of the main stage presentation. We then traveled to North Carolina for preproduction and rehearsals where we worked with the tour lighting director, audio engineer and video producer to make sure all components of the presentation worked smoothly.
