GLBAL media is excited to produce a new short film documentary called “Searching For Lanterns.” Shot on location in Kenya over the course of 8 years this film is about a father and daughter’s struggle to resist child marriage in Kenya and embrace love at all costs. Amplifying issues such as child poverty, human trafficking, online exploitation, hunger, education inequities and human rights violations, viewers will be challenged and inspired to be light in their own communities.
Please join us at the Carroll Arts Center for the premiere in Westminster, MD on May 30, 2023. Visit www.searchingforlanterns.com to learn more.
New website design for Greystone Brokerage & Development
When Greystone first approached us about a new website their current website was displaying a critical error and they weren’t able to make updates or recover any of their past content. Thankfully we were able to help them restore aspects of their past website for reference while building a brand new website with an accompanying website maintenance plan to help prevent this same error from occurring in the future.
About Greystone Brokerage & Development
“Greystone Brokerage & Development is a full-service real estate firm specializing in Development, Consulting and Brokerage services for medical office buildings, surgery centers, imaging and diagnostic clinics, and healthcare-related facilities.” (https://greystonebd.com/about/)
The Solution
This website design needed to be as unique and creative as Greystone’s approach to real estate. We designed a brand new website for Greystone which highlights their past work in an easy to navigate portfolio as well as a renewed focus on their convenient location in Nashville, TN.
“Justin!!!! You are amazing!!”

New website for the Community Foundation of Carroll County
Nonprofit websites are one of our specialities, but this project was especially unique because we had the opportunity to not only represent 1 nonprofit but to serve over 280 local nonprofits all in one website! GLBAL media was contacted last year by the Community Foundation of Carroll County to start the process of redesigning their existing website. We applaud them for getting quotes from all local web design companies and were honored to be selected. If you are not familiar with a community foundation they are an umbrella organization that handles all of the donations, payments, grants, etc. to allow “funds” to focus on the work they are passionate about.
The Community Foundation of Carroll County was established in 1994 and currently serves over 280 local nonprofits and more than 75 scholarships. They facilitate over 8 million dollars in endowments, operating funds, scholarships, programs, and funds managed for nonprofit organizations.
The Challenge
We were presented with an existing website that was outdated and difficult to update. Minor changes like posting news, editing scholarships and replacing images had to be outsourced to another web designer who could only make all of the changes via FTP. The previous website was not utilizing SSL certificates, was not a responsive website design (desktop, tablet and mobile friendly) and was not easily searchable.
The Solution
When we first met with Sharon from the Community Foundation of Carroll County she expressed how important it was for visitors to accomplish 3 main tasks: start a fund, make a donation and search for scholarships. We walked through our website design process and explained the need for the website to be mobile friendly and easy to navigate.
Given our expertise with nonprofit website design we also shared the need for the website to establish credibility with potential donors and streamline the process to make a donation. Given the unique setup of a community foundation many visitors will access the site to make a donation to a specific fund. In the past this was only possible by sorting through an alphabetical list with no option to filter the results. We created a searchable database for all 280 funds that lists the name, description, type of fund and link to donate directly to that fund. This new website will hopefully increase donations for all of the nonprofits represented.
The foundation ultimately allows nonprofits to focus on their mission while they handle all of the behind the scenes tasks. It was important for the new website to further highlight events in the community put on by the participating funds. We designed an easy to use news and calendar section to showcase upcoming events and press releases.
Big thanks to you and your team for creating an exceptional product!

Live Events
This year we traveled to 35 different states on 55 flights for 122 live events. Working alongside our friends at ChildFund, World Vision and Children International we toured with bands like We The Kingdom, Michael W. Smith, Elevation Worship, Crowder, Matt Maher, Lauren Daigle and more.
Video Production
We filmed, edited and produced 95 videos ranging from our work with Hey Westminster to Hall of Fame content for US Squash. We also provided concert photography and event coverage for Westminster’s SummerFest.
Website Design
We built 10 different websites with a heavy focus in e-commerce websites. Some of these sites include Be Kind Sign, BC Boost, Free Todd Mullis and more.
GLBAL good
This year we continued our tradition of donating a percentage of our company profits to a nonprofit. This year’s recipient was LightsOut. Read more about them here.
Looking ahead…
We are looking forward to next year and would love to work together on your next project. We currently have 3 international trips planned and can’t wait to return to visit our friends in Africa and South America this coming year.
Each year as a company (GLBAL media) we designate a percentage of our profits to fund various projects/causes that we believe align with our vision to bring the world together. Established in 2020, our first GLBAL good recipient was a clean water well with ChildFund followed by a donation to Soni Sunshine in 2021 to provide resources for cancer patients. This year we’re excited to share that LightsOut has been chosen as our 2022 recipient.
This year’s recipient is LightsOut, a nonprofit that provides emotional, physical and spiritual support for musicians, speakers, crew and other touring professionals.
About LightsOut
LightsOut provides emotional, physical and spiritual support for musicians, speakers, crew and other touring professionals. They focus on caring for these people off the stage so that they can be their best on stage. Having toured for over 15 years we know the struggles of life on the road, the challenge of being away from family and the toll having to be in the spotlight can take. LightsOut exists to help make all of that a little more manageable.
How we met LightsOut
Long before it was even an established nonprofit, Dave has been caring for people in the entertainment industry. About 15 years ago when Justin was touring in a 15 passenger band with his brothers in Willet they drove 23 hours from Maryland to Sioux Falls, SD to play at a festival. After their set they were planning to sleep in their van before making the drive back home. Dave was stage managing at the festival and caught wind of this situation. He immediately offered his personal RV for the band to sleep in so that they wouldn’t have to stay in their van. That night started a friendship that would later evolve to include multiple tours together, discussions about mental/spiritual/emotional health, the needs of artists and the struggles of being on the road.
Dave is one of those people that you can call at anytime. He’s literally dropped everything to drive states away to help. I can’t count how many cups of coffee we’ve enjoyed together over the years and am excited to see his ministry continue to grow. BC Boost is a brand new product created by Dr. Janette Nesheiwat. This dietary supplement was specially formulated to boost immune support by combining Vitamin B and Vitamin C as well as D3 and Zinc.
Our roles in the BC Boost branding, logo, product and website project.
We started by creating the logo and brand guidelines for this new company. For the logo, we incorporated key colors that evoke healthy living emotions. After designing the logo we created the vitamin bottle design while following FDA standards. We provided our client with initial mockups to see how this would actually look before going to print. We incorporated elements of oranges (strong component of Vitamin C), Dr. Janette’s photo (for credibility) as well as helpful information about the purpose of this product.
After completing the bottle design we started on developing the new e-commerce website. This website needed to provide credibility to the brand as well as offer subscriptions and easy checkout from desktop and mobile devices.
The Justice For All Institute is a new nonprofit started by Dina Nesheiwat Raley. Dina’s extensive experience as an attorney and her compassion for helping others inspired her to create an organization to advocate for the legal rights of families and communities that would otherwise go unheard. These legal services are provided FREE of charge for communities in need.
Our roles in the Justice For All Institute logo and website project.
We created the overall branding for the organization. For the logo, we carried over the “Scales of Justice” icon that can be found in The Nesheiwat Law Group logo as a subtle nod to Dina’s other company and the need for justice.
We were also tasked with creating a website that would help explain the purpose of The Justice For All Institute and allow potential donors to donate towards the cause. This website features one-time and recurring giving as well as sign-up forms for other attorneys to get involved.

GLBAL media was proud to sponsor the 2022 Maryland SummerFest which featured 8 bands on 2 stages, over 15 breweries and wineries, 20+ food trucks and multiple other local vendors. Our agency was able to provide event photography and videography throughout the day. Below are some of the highlights of the day.
Justin Willet was recently interviewed for the Persevere Podcast where they discussed everything from playing in a rock band to founding a full service media company, being prepared for the unexpected and believing in yourself, and creating boundaries with honesty and transparency.
A couple of months ago we met Eric and Tina while filming for Hey, Westminster and quickly fell in love with their mission to spread kindness. They asked us to assist in designing a new Ecommerce website for both the Infinite Love Project and Be Kind Sign.
About Infinite Love Project / Be Kind Sign
The Infinite Love Project creates hearts with the infinity symbol which are then given to people they encounter as they go through their daily lives. They also create and install the Be Kind signs with our Infinite Love Heart® to remind us all of the importance of that magical phrase.
Be Kind Sign has quickly become an iconic symbol in Carroll County, Maryland and is rapidly spreading to new areas.
“In January, 2020 Eric was reading about, hearing, and experiencing too much negativity and needed to counter that, reminding himself as well that everything is better when you are around kind and empathetic people. That is when, on a porch in Westminster, MD, the stencil art Be Kind sign boards and crayons were created.”
Currently over 3,400 signs are on display to remind us all to spread kindness. We’re grateful that Eric and Tina trusted us to build a new e-commerce website for them with some enhanced functionality. They get the award for the most colorful website we’ve ever created. Take a look at www.bekindsign.com
Building the New Ecommerce Website
This website was a unique build because potential visitors enter the site either through an affiliation with Infinite Love Project or through exposure to the Be Kind Signs. While essentially one big site the website needed to serve the needs of both brands. We started by building custom landing pages for infiniteloveproject.com and bekindsign.com. The header navigation then integrates the rest of the website.
It was also important to Eric and Tina that their upcoming events could be easily added, updated and shared. As a result we built an easy to navigate event calendar that they can update anytime.
The online store features several different categories and integrates seamlessly with their Point of Sale system to manage stock and inventory. The custom nature of these products required extensive variables and customization for each order.
Mobile Friendly Website Design
Be Kind Sign often has a booth setup at trade shows, farmers markets, festivals and events so it was important that the website was mobile friendly and potential visitors could easily browse the site and shop or learn more about the brand.

One of the most frequent questions we’re asked is “How Much Does Video Production Cost?” Estimating the cost of your video is a great first step in choosing whether you can afford to advertise through video or not. We recommend contacting 2-3 local video production companies to request a quote and discuss the needs for your video. Make sure you review their portfolio and confirm that their style is a good fit for your company.
The average cost of a video varies based on the questions below however, most videos cost between $2,500 – $7,500+.
Knowing the answers to the following questions will help expedite the quote process and allow you to get a more accurate price when inquiring with video production companies.
What kind of video do you need?
Identifying the type of video you need will help video production companies be able to provide an accurate quote ahead of time. Popular videos include:
Event coverage video
Corporate videos
Documentary Films
Music Videos
Live Streaming
Explainer Videos
How To videos
Fundraising videos
Aerial Drone Videos
Company Profile Video
Promotional Videos / Commercials
Social Media Videos
Testimonial Video
Recruitment Video
Internal Communication Video
Will your video require filming?
Depending on the type of video you need you may require on location filming or use of stock video content. Filming days will require additional planning and staff devoted to making the production a success. Filming may be done in studio or on location and can also include the use of aerial drone coverage. Typically film days are priced by half day or whole day shoots.
What is the total length of your video?
Knowing how long you anticipate the final edit being will affect the cost for post production (color correction, background music, audio eq, titles, lower thirds, etc.)
So how much does video production cost?
As you can tell from the questions above, you’ll need to provide some detailed information in order to receive a customized proposal for your project. Here at GLBAL media we offer a 6 step video production process that includes:

We recently published the new website for Linwood Brethren Church that incorporates a custom drone video of the church building and surrounding community.
Linwood Brethren Church contacted us last year to create a website that they can easily keep updated to better serve their congregation. Located in rural Union Bridge, MD this historic church sits on top of a hill and features a beautiful bell tower.
While discussing the needs for the website the pastor also expressed interest in capturing drone footage of the church and surrounding community to highlight the area they serve. This video can be found as the background on the homepage.
We created custom pages for Linwood Brethren Church that communicates their history, their staff, their statement of faith, and their events.

We had the opportunity to film and produce Faith Church Glen Burnie‘s Christmas service. This service was produced ahead of time and premiered on Christmas Eve on their YouTube channel.
Check out the full-length video:
The entire production was filmed in a barn outside of Westminster, Maryland right before Thanksgiving and included 6 hours of filming and over 20 different camera angles per song. Our creative team is comprised of several musicians so we were thrilled at the opportunity to produce this video for a local church. With just under a month to turn around the final product we got started right away editing the songs and speaking sections. We hope you enjoy the final product.

Video content is a continually increasing demand for the online and social media space. This is because:
“Viewers retain 95% of a message presented to them in the video as compared to 10% when reading text.” – Impact Plus
As this knowledge is becoming more widespread we are beginning to see the trickle-down effect take place. More and more nonprofits and companies are beginning to consistently implement video on their websites and in social media content. Ultimately, video content serves your visitors better because you’re making your content easily accessible and memorable.
Check out the 2022 video trends to watch for and incorporate into your nonprofit or company’s content.
4k and even 8k video have become the new standard in video production.
Even though most viewers aren’t watching on devices capable of these resolutions people have been taught to ask for it when requesting video shoots.
As the use of video increases across all platforms creative lighting will play a bigger role in helping your videos stand out. RBG lighting will allow users to create unique-looking interviews and have full control over the scene they are shooting.
Interactive / VR video hasn’t fully caught on but as the technology continues to improve and become more widespread we can expect to see more and more VR videos.
Drone Video.
Drone videography has become standard in most video productions however the quality of these shots and most importantly using them creatively will help set your production apart.
Live Streaming.
Live streaming is here to stay however with its increased popularity the cost for these services will start to decrease as it becomes easier for clients to produce the content on their own.
Check out a blog we created dedicated to live streaming.
Video formats.
Stories will always drive good videos. Even as short-form videos become the norm across social media the content of the video is crucial to its success.
Moving into 2022 and beyond videos will need to be delivered in multiple formats for use in vertical stories, square formats, and standard 16×9.

This month’s Hey Westminster blog is very different from the others because we share it with both joy and sadness. We filmed and photographed the Soni Sunshine Snow 5-0 event in Westminster, MD as part of the December 2021 Hey Westminster grant. This event was for Sonia Davis’ 50th birthday and brought out nearly 1,000 people to show their love for her and her family. She battled cancer for several years and recently passed after her birthday and community celebration.
During her time battling cancer, Sonia shared her experiences and resources for others battling cancer through Soni Sunshine. She and her husband Casey also began a nonprofit to financially assist those battling cancer called “Help On The Way!”
The Hey Westminster board decided to give this month’s grant to Soni Sunshine. Sonia and Casey immediately let the board know that they would be giving those funds to their nonprofit, “Help On The Way!” so that the money can help others. This is just one example of their generosity and heart for helping others.
We have been friends with Casey and Sonia for awhile and have worked on several projects together, so we are deeply feeling the loss for their family and our community. It was an honor to be a part of videoing and photographing this event for them.
Check out the video that we filmed and produced for Hey Westminster for the December 2021 grant recipient Soni Sunshine, per their request the grant will go to Help On The Way.
The Soni Sunshine Snow 5-0 had so many fun features to celebrate Sonia and help others.
They had fundraisers for their nonprofit, food trucks for guests to enjoy, a place to leave notes for Sonia, and characters from all of Sonia’s favorite Christmas movies. They even surprised her with a genuine “Griswold” house-lighting moment and snow machine. The kids absolutely loved the “snow”!

2022 graphic design trends will be marked by bold colors, fonts, and designs that appeal to younger consumers. Keep these new trends in mind and determine how they may fit within your nonprofit’s or company’s designs.
Bright Color Gradients.
Bright color gradients will be used in modern designs to attract younger audiences and are typically associated with tech products. Be on the lookout for the unique ways bold color gradients will make their way into marketing materials and social media in 2022.
Tie-Dye Backgrounds.
The use of multi-color or tie-dye backgrounds has returned for a fun younger feel to designs. 2022 graphic design is all about color and lots of it.
Bold Wavy Fonts.
Closely related to the vintage feel of tie-dye, bold wavy fonts are increasing in popularity replacing the once-standard sans-serif fonts like Helvetica and Gotham. These bold and wavy fonts are eye-catching and have an organic and fun feel.
The 2022 Pantone Color of the Year is Very Peri. A look at Pantone’s 2022 colors of the year includes the use of muted purples, orange and blue. You can check out Pantone’s fashion color trend report for more. In the blue family, with violet-red undertones, Very Peri will emerge as a color trend in the graphic design space in 2022.

We are taking the opportunity to reflect on all the work that we have had the privilege to do over the course of 2021 through this GLBAL media year in review blog. The stats and projects listed below are the numbers that reflect what matters most to us, which are the nonprofits, businesses, ministries, and individuals we have had the honor of working with and helping.
Enjoy an overview of some of our projects and behind-the-scenes photos from this past year.
We work with companies to improve their SEO ratings by conducting search engine optimization and audits for their websites. We help their websites rank higher in Google by identifying keywords and phrases that potential clients will search be searching for.
This year we built websites for our friends at Third Culture Thriving, Hear It Clear, Soni Sunshine, and more. 2021 brought a renewed approach to our website design process which allowed us to build some of the best websites we’ve ever designed.
Most of the photos we took this year were either for Hey Westminster Grant Recipients or for concerts. With our new office location and now having access to an indoor studio at Together Studios, we look forward to expanding our studio sessions in the coming year.
36 Videos produced
We’ve completed video projects for all of the Hey Westminster grant recipients, Affordable Basement Solutions by JFJ & Sons, Finding Hope Counseling, multiple projects for Exponential, ChildFund, Faith Church Glen Burnie, and we announced the addition of drone video services. We are fortunate that you trust us to help tell your story.
51 travel dates
We jumped back into touring this year with ChildFund and lead the team for Winter Jam (Crowder and We the Kingdom) and the Lauren Daigle World Tour. In addition to these tours we were also a part of Light the Way Festival and travelled for various video shoots.
26 flights
This year saw the return of live events and we were happy to help support them. Traveling on numerous tours, video shoots, and client meetings we flew over 26 times.
29 states visited
Although this was the first year in over 5 years that did not include an international trip we still managed to cover most of the country visiting 29 states for photos, videos, and tour dates.
It has been a great year! Thank you to each of our clients for trusting us to build your websites, capture and tell your stories, and serve you creatively. We are looking forward to all the projects that we will be working on in 2022. We hope you enjoyed a behind-the-scenes GLBAL media year in review.
We were happy to work on another project with JFJ and Sons. We have worked with the Felkners for over 5 years. Originally developing the JFJ and Sons website & now this new logo design and brand within their company. This time we created a new brand that is a subdivision within the JFJ and Sons company: Affordable Basement Solutions by JFJ and Sons. Since at times it will operate as a standalone brand it needed its own logo and branding.
For every branding client we create an accompanying brand guide. A brand guide is a helpful tool for individuals or whole teams to maintain a consistent brand presence. It visually showcases how to use your logos and what your brand fonts and colors are. For larger projects or campaigns we include key directions in wording and copy to use on the website, social media, and when talking about the campaign.
We photographed a recent basement renovation so that they would have photo content for this new brand that they can utilize on their website, social media, and on printed materials.
As a part of this larger project, we also designed this custom proposal folder for JFJ and Sons.
The inside pages feature a letter from the owner, high-quality printed images of their work, testimonials from happy customers, and a list of the services that they provide. The folder pockets allow for them to insert custom proposals and information for their customers.

Hear It Clear is a new entertainment industry company website to rent equipment and book freelancers to operate it.
GLBAL media built the front-facing sales side of the website. We designed and coded the initial home, about and contact pages as well as created the registration platform.
We were introduced through a mutual friend in the entertainment industry and are excited to see this become a valuable tool for the music industry. Hear It Clear is developing a platform to book rental equipment such as venues, lighting, audio, and freelancers to run it. The idea is that it’s a cross-company platform that removes the bids back and forth between a bunch of companies and people can see availability right away.
They are currently building a database for those freelancers and equipment companies who are interested.
The ability to book equipment is coming in phase 2. Right now anyone who works within the entertainment industry can register to receive more info once it’s launched.
Artists and Attractions hired us for a large graphic design project ranging from a vehicle wrap, to stage mockups, to posters and brochures for a variety of shows that they manage. Artists and Attractions is the representative for several shows within the fair and events industry. We created the following designs for upcoming trade shows and acts that they represent.
We designed a vehicle wrap for the semitrailer for Otter Adventure, which is an interactive water show with otters. We also designed the 3d model layout for the stage that will be created for the show.
Dangerous feats of comedy is a show that features extreme stunts and tricks combined with family-friendly comedy. We designed a brochure to highlight some of their most loved acts and communicate the experience of this particular show.
We created two different size designs for Pompeyo’s Dog Show. A 33×81 retractable banner and an 8×10 pop-up banner. We also created a stage mockup for the Space Adventure show.
We provide a variety of graphic design services for nonprofits, churches, and the entertainment industry.
Our design services include but aren’t limited to logo design, brand guides, graphic design, market research, design books, merchandise, flyers, brochures, etc. Learn more about our graphic design services.

How do you know when it’s time to update your website?
There are a few important factors to take into consideration if you’re trying to decide if your website needs updating. Check out our list of 7 reasons to update your website in 2022.
Biggest factor – web style has changed and your website feels outdated.
Website design trends are constantly changing. There are many factors that affect these trends. Increasing internet speeds are allowing for videos and animations to be more accessible and in demand. People are consuming more video content than images and text because it is easier and quicker to digest. Colors, styles, and font trends change with what’s popular at the time. The bottom line, the increase in technology and accessibility is constantly driving design trends to change and progress.
Your website page speed is slow.
Surveys and analytics show that you have less than 15 seconds to grab your visitor’s attention on your website. If your page won’t load and you can’t grab their attention in that time you will lose your visitor. As technology changes in web development, outdated systems and coding don’t function as well and so websites can take longer to load. For example, years ago flash websites were the big trend and most modern browsers don’t support flash anymore. Even within popular programs like WordPress, themes and plugins become outdated if they are not consistently kept up to date.
Doesn’t represent your current business well.
Your old website was great for you then, but as your company grows your website should grow with it. Your website may not represent your current business well if you’re in the process of rebranding or adding new services. Especially over the course of 2020 and 2021 businesses have had to adapt and change the services that they offer so their online presence should represent those changes. For example, churches have begun to return in person but it may be different than it was before. You go through a lot of work to get someone to your website, you want to be sure that the content that they find is accurate.
Doesn’t match the quality of the service/experience you offer in person.
If the quality of your website does not match the quality of the services and experience you offer in person, it’s time to update your website. There are a lot of organizations, nonprofits, and businesses that are really great at the services that they provide, but their online presence doesn’t represent that well. Often businesses spend a lot of time creating a great in-store experience but don’t pay as much attention to their website. For a prospective donor, volunteer, or client it could turn them away from giving, volunteering, or booking services if your online presence isn’t aligned with your quality of services or experience.
Is difficult to update/make changes.
If your current website is either inaccessible by you to update and make changes, or that process is becoming a burden it’s time to update. You can’t accomplish the things above if you can’t access your website. We offer monthly website maintenance plans where we can manage this for you.
Your website is not mobile-friendly.
Over 50% of website traffic is done on mobile devices and that statistic is growing daily. Modern websites should be built on a responsive platform to display well across all devices. Google ranks mobile-friendly websites higher in their searches than those that are not mobile-friendly.
We recommend updating your website aesthetics at least every 2 years and considering a full redesign within 5 years.
About every 2 years functionality and design trends shift pretty dramatically. At least 2 years you should update the homepage, hero sections, and main banner sections. Within 5 years you should consider a full redesign simply due to the advancement of technology and the systems required to keep up with it.

Today GLBAL media is excited to announce the launch of THIS GIRL, a nonprofit campaign for WorldServe International. WorldServe International is a nonprofit organization working to provide clean water, sanitation, education, and economic opportunities.
About a year ago they reached out to us to develop the brand identity for a new initiative. After reviewing the program that they planned on implementing in some African communities we recognized that the heart of the program was empowerment for young women who don’t have a voice. This direction on focusing on the girls’ dignity led us to name this new initiative THIS GIRL.
From the beginning, WorldServe International and GLBAL media set out to create a brand that would allow everyone to participate in helping girls thrive.
This is not a topic that should be exclusive to women/girls. We thought that this brand should be represented in a way that everyone feels comfortable sharing the content, championing the cause, and being involved in providing dignity, health, and education for girls.
WorldServe has long recognized that women and girls are disproportionately affected by water scarcity.
When water is present, great things can happen, especially in the area of education for girls. When girls are finally able to attend school, WorldServe International wants to do everything possible to keep them going! A challenge with which many girls struggle is the ability to attend school during their menstrual cycle. Inadequate restroom facilities, a lack of hygiene products, and rampant taboos mean that girls in developing countries miss nearly a full week of school every month. As absences add up, girls may fall so far behind that they don’t return.
The lack of water in many school settings limits the effectiveness of washable sanitary products and other solutions (such as tampons and cups). Further, the economic and environmental challenges inherent in traditional“manufactured” products could result in new difficulties. Ultimately an award-winningcompostable pad production system created by Aakar Innovations was discovered as the perfect solution. With compassion and grace, the girls learn what menstruation is, its role in the lives of healthy women and girls, and benefit from a dialogue where their great potential and self-worth are affirmed.
If this story resonates with you and you would like to join THIS GIRL, here’s how you can get involved:
Text the words “this girl” to 844-928-4123 to join for $12/month
$12 a month provides a girl with dignity, health, and education. WorldServe International distributes 100% compostable sanitary pads (made locally by women employed at a fair wage!), along with a comprehensive menstrual health curriculum, and undergarments. Without this basic dignity, a girl can miss up to 4 days of school each month!
Our role in the THIS GIRL brand, campaign, and website.
WorldServe approached GLBAL media in the summer of 2020 about creating a new program for menstrual hygiene. The intent was to create a program that everyone could have a conversation about because it is not just an issue that affects women.
We spent the next month developing the name and brand for it, then developed a marketing strategy. We created the branding, designed the logos and packaging, edited the video, designed the webpage, created the marketing and overall message, and are continuing to develop new marketing materials for THIS GIRL under the WorldServe International organization.

GLBAL media is a live streaming production company located in Westminster, Maryland. Starting in 2020, everyone began live streaming, but it is something that we’ve been doing for the past few years. With the influx of more companies, churches, and events looking to live streaming in order to stay connected with people and offer virtual options, live streaming quality is becoming more and more crucial.
We help organizations to live stream to multiple platforms, like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, at the same time with a cohesive experience across all of them.
We designed and built out a live streaming system for Deep Run Church. We live streamed their first and they’ve been running it themselves ever since. They wanted to be able to stream to YouTube & Facebook simultaneously and we were able to set them up to do that.
We did the initial research to determine the best live streaming platform for their needs. This helped us determine the best live steaming software for them. We evaluated livestreaming software such as streamyard, OBS, and Vmix.
We ordered the equipment, configured hardware and software, and trained their staff to set up and run the equipment and live steam. Some of the equipment in their custom portable live stream kit were a laptop with the correct software, audio interface, cameras, cables, chargers, and tripods. Deep Run Church needed it to be portable because they set up and take down weekly. It all packs up easily into the cases shown in the graphic.
This is the first live stream by Deep Run Church utilizing our live streaming kit we created for them.
Below is an example of the presentation of a live streamed church service that we produced.
We also worked with ChildFund and Lauren Daigle for a live stream fundraising event that was broadcasted to multiple platforms simultaneously.
The video below is the Women in Sports Panel for the US open squash tournament in Philadelphia. We provided photos and videos for the event for several years prior to the live steam shown below. We provided live streaming for this panel because they had a limited number of seats available in person. This live stream made the panel interview accessible to many more viewers.
SDA pro tour is the Squash doubles association. The events are held at private clubs and aren’t open to the public. In order to make squash more accessible to the public they began to live stream the events. We built out all of the equipment for it to suit their needs, similar to the project for Deep Run Church that we shared above.
GLBAL media is a digital agency for nonprofits. We film and produce fundraising videos and nonprofit videos. Some of our past projects have been for ChildFund and Lauren Daigle, Children International and MercyMe, and a Westminster, Maryland nonprofit Together We Own It.
Often we work closely with nonprofits and artists to develop unique digital campaigns tailored to their brand like the ones below for ChildFund and Lauren Daigle tour and the two for Children International and MercyMe.
We also film and produce videos for nonprofits like the one below for Together We Own It located in Westminster, Maryland. In this blog, we shared the story of how this video led to an individual donating a $10,000 gift to Together We Own It because they saw this video on social media. As a company, we believe in the power of storytelling and how it inspires others to take action.
GLBAL media is a Maryland video production agency that specializes in filming and producing nonprofit videos. Our team of videographers has a combined experience of over 40 years in video production and marketing. As a Story First Creative Agency, we believe every good video should start with a story. Our Westminster, MD videographers are available for worldwide travel. Whether we’re shooting in Africa, in a conference room, or out on tour with a band, we have an experienced team of videographers, storytellers, and animators to make your production a reality.
Last year we created the GLBAL good as an annual giveback from our company to fund various projects/causes that we believe align with our vision to bring the world together, and share those success stories with you.
We are excited to announce that this year our team voted unanimously and selected Soni Sunshine as our 2021 GLBAL good recipient!
This year’s recipient is Soni Sunshine, a resource for people facing a cancer diagnosis for themselves or a loved one.
Sonia herself is currently battling cancer and despite her many challenges continues to have a passion to serve others first. As a company, we are thankful to be able to support her efforts during this time in a small way. When we first contacted Casey and Sonia to share the news with them, right away she said that she wanted the funds to be used for their “Help is on the way fund” to support other cancer patients.
We have worked with Sonia and her husband Casey for about 7 years on multiple projects. Most recently, we built the Soni Sunshine website for them.
If you or someone you know is in need of cancer treatment resources visit the Soni Sunshine website to see all that they have to offer.
A large portion of the work GLBAL media does is for those in the entertainment and music industry. We have a variety of designs and videos that we have done for upcoming tours starting soon in the fall of 2021. If you’re headed to a show on any of these tours keep an eye out for some of our work: Lauren Daigle, MercyMe, Newsboys, Crowder, I Am They, Danny Gokey and Tauren Wells.
Here’s some samples of the design and video work we created:
I AM THEY
We created banner designs and a booth display for ChildFund and I AM THEY. Their tour began on September 17th.
Lauren Daigle
The Lauren Daigle and ChildFund tour begins on September 24th. We created a video for the Lauren Daigle tour, on-screen content, a booth display, and the water bottle and letter writing kits for ChildFund’s child sponsorship program. Two of the GLBAL media team members will also be on week one of the Lauren Daigle tour on behalf of ChildFund.
Newsboys
GLBAL media created the booth display and custom envelope designs for the Newsboys tour with ChildFund. Their tour begins on September 19th.
MercyMe
We created the Children International video for the MercyMe tour that begins on October 1st. View a short clip from the full video below. We also created the on-screen content shown for Children International during the MercyMe tour.
We filmed the Fiddlers Green Farm video outside of Westminster, MD on an organic hemp farm as part of the 2021 Hey Westminster Grant. Their CBD is cared for from seed to bottle with great intention to offer the most beneficial plant products possible. The Fiddlers Green Farm team is fully committed to restorative agriculture, social and environmental justice, and being stewards of the land.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with choosing the best web designer, this blog will help you make a confident choice that is best for you. Here are a few things to consider before you reach out to a web designer.
What size of company do you want to work with?
Larger companies have departments that are dedicated to each area. They have sales teams, designers, and developers. At times this can be helpful however when it comes to web design we’ve found that having a dedicated contact person makes the process much smoother. Our company has a small team of web designers dedicated to delivering you with the best possible results. You will have a consistent contact person. There’s no middle man in communication during the whole process. You’ll be speaking to someone who understands the website design and development language and can help if there are any areas you have questions. It allows us to customize your process to the needs that you have.
How many pages are you looking for?
In order to receive an accurate quote, you will need to know how many pages your website will have. These typically include Home, About Us, Services, Contact, etc.
How often do you plan to update your website?
Do you want to be able to update your website yourself or is that a service you’d like to be included with the website company that you choose to work with? Some people are very tech-savvy and like the idea of updating themselves. However, the majority of our clients prefer to be able to send us any updates that they require so that they can focus on the amazing work they’re doing.
Who you consider to be the best web designer might be different than someone else because of the aesthetic you like. It can be helpful to browse some websites for inspiration. Make note of what elements or features stand out to you and why. We suggest browsing within your industry and a little outside of your industry for inspiration.
What is your goal turnaround time?
Every company has its own unique turnaround schedule depending on its capacity and its process. You’ll want to find a company that can meet your goal turnaround time. At GLBAL media we typically have a 30-day turnaround time from start to finish.
What industries do they work in?
The majority of the time it is smart to work with a company that has experience designing and building websites for the industry that you are in. Staying within the same industry is helpful to be aware of industry-specific needs and trends, as well as what works and doesn’t work when it comes to websites for your industry.
What is your budget?
This is very important as there are companies that range the spectrum for investment.
What platform will your site be built on?
WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix are popular site platforms that we utilize to build our clients’ websites. If you’d like you can do some research into each of these options to decide what is best for you. If you’re unsure or have no preference, feel free to reach out to us, we’d be happy to help guide you in the best choice for you.
Do you have a preference for outsourced or in-house coding?
Outsourcing coding is a common practice among website companies. Whenever possible we prefer to keep the entire process in-house to ensure consistency and the highest possible quality.
If you know you need one or both of these things be sure to work with a company that is familiar with building out these components.
Do you have your domain name or need hosting?
Check with the company you’re inquiring with whether they provide these services for their clients or if you’re required to already have that in place prior to working with them. If you do not already have a domain name or host service we can do those things for you as a part of our 10 step website design process (link to page).
Does the company’s geographical location matter to you?
Are you desiring to work with a company fully virtual or are you desiring some in-person interaction? Take this aspect of your desired experience into consideration when deciding on a company to work with. While we work with clients from all over the world our offices are located in Westminster, MD and we’d love to host you for a discovery meeting.
Do you need a website designer, website developer, or all-in-one?
A website developer specializes in how a website functions and the user experience (UX). They’re focused on functionality, custom forms, custom online store elements, and user interaction. A web developer is really great at making a site work well, but may not make a site that looks great.
A website designer specializes in the user interface (UI). They’re focused on how a website looks, feels, and the aesthetic. A web designer is really great at making beautiful websites, but may not make a site that functions great for the UX.
Ideally, you want a company that can do both for you. Your site should both look and function great for your users.
What happens after your website is built?
Some companies hand over a website and don’t provide any ongoing services unless you come back and contract with them again for changes or updates. At GLBAL media we provide ongoing maintenance for all of our websites which includes: SSL certificates, hosting, security updates, weekly backups, text/image/video updates, as well as phone and email support.
Next step: inquire.
Once you have these decisions made, your next step is to contact a company that best fits your desired experience. It would be wise to inquire with more than one company so that you can compare their offerings and investment levels.

We designed the welcome email that went to all Light The Way Festival attendees. We designed banners for the activation tent at the festival. We designed 4×6 postcards for the festival attendees. We also provided photography and video for the festival recap. You can see our concert photography and video recap on this blog: Light The Way Music Festival.

As a company we believe in the power of storytelling and how it inspires others to take action. Each month we have the honor of producing the videos of Hey Westminster‘s grant recipients and sharing the story behind their company. In January we were introduced to Katie Kirby the Executive director of Together We Own It and the first grant recipient from Hey Westminster.
Katie has been working hard for years to build an amazing nonprofit based out of Westminster, MD that serves the youth in Carroll County. Together We Own It serves over 700 children across the state of Maryland; primarily in Carroll and Wicomico County. They strive to foster a sense of connection between youth and their community by connecting people and resources, mentoring, providing educational enrichment, and recreational empowerment.
Their recognition by Hey Westminster and the video we produced for them gained the attention of a local individual who wanted to learn more.
Read Director, Katie Kirby’s story:
Good morning! I just wanted to share the ripple effect that we’ve had after being the first Hey Westminster recipient. Someone saw the video that GLBAL media put together about us after we received the award. This person followed up and met with us, intrigued by how we got started and how far we’ve come, and ended up making a $10,000 individual donation. As a small but thriving organization, those dollars go so far here and we are excited to be able to continue to expand our work in Westminster. The impact your contribution has made in allowing us to provide 2 stipend positions for high school students to work with our team and lead youth programming has been incredible. I can’t thank you guys enough for what you are doing and the support you’ve given us as an organization! It means the world to us.
Best,
Katie Kirby
While we can’t guarantee that every video we produce will result in a $10,000 gift, we do believe that your story will help inspire others and allow people to learn more about your company. The Founder, Karli VonHerbulis, is located in Kigali, Rwanda. Karli & Justin Willet have worked together on different creative projects dating back to as early as 2011. Working together on her vision for the brand identity and website for Third Culture Thriving was extra special because of the long history of friendship and collaborative creative efforts.
This project was also very unique since she is located on the other side of the world in a completely opposite time zone. Many times Justin would send off content to be reviewed at the end of his workday and return the following day to Karli’s response because their days and nights are opposite. It added a unique working element since GLBAL media typically works with brands within the continental US.
Third Culture Thriving Story
We loved working to create the brand and website for Third Culture Thriving because of the purpose behind it. Third Culture Thriving is a place to find the resources and encouragement needed to cultivate home in the spaces between nations. Karli took her experiences, both good and hard, as a woman, wife, and mother moving overseas for mission work and turned them into solutions for other families on similar journies.
She shares the story of her experience of the inculturation process, trauma, and self-doubt, which motivated the creation of the resources and community that Third Culture Thriving offers to other missionary individuals and families. Karli says,
“I wanted to create a space where women wouldn’t feel alone, or like everything was out of their control. Where they could come for encouragement and camaraderie, and for practice resources to help them as they journey to create a home in a new place. Where struggling women could be seen, nourished, equipped, and supported in their journeys to thriving, whatever that means in their context. Where they could find hope.”
Through Third Culture Thriving, Karli truly has created a place to find the resources and community you need to thrive right where Christ has called you.
The Process
The first step in the process was to create the Third Culture Thriving brand identity. Karli created a mood board on Pinterest where we pulled inspiration for colors and designs.
We then moved into the logo design phase. Karli wanted to incorporate some floral elements, maps, and script fonts. We ended up not only designing the primary logo but additional brand assets as well that were implemented throughout the website.
With the brand identity, logos, and design elements ready then it came time to begin working on the website. Karli had previously built her own website using Squarespace and was looking for a more professional design that could incorporate her branding across all elements.
We incorporated some of her custom design elements as buttons on her site to direct visitors to her pages with various resources.
Watch this video for a quick overview of the Third Culture Thriving website.
The e-commerce aspect needed to include both free and premium downloads that she could control the number of download attempts and length until the link expired.
Another important aspect of the web design process is mobile design. We always design websites so that the mobile experience is cohesive with the desktop experience and optimized for the mobile user experience.

Winter Jam was our first flight, first concert and first tour bus in nearly 365 days. Following several consecutive years of over 200 days of travel we were excited to get back on the road with some of our favorite artists and closest friends. Check out the video recap we created from week 1 of Winter Jam 2021 featuring Crowder and We The Kingdom.
During WinterJam, Justin served as team lead for ChildFund and oversaw the tour reps and volunteer training. While we were on the tour we also captured photography and video of We The Kingdom and Crowder’s performances as well as the post show meet and greet with sponsors.
GLBAL media also created the on-screen content for ChildFund’s presentation by Jeremy Willet, shown below. It was a cinematic experience where the video content had been filmed previously in Mozambique and Jeremy narrated live on stage.
Those who attended WinterJam and chose to sponsor a child with ChildFund had the opportunity to participate in a meet and greet with Crowder and We The Kingdom. Each night we would take a group photo of all of the sponsors with the artists.
We also designed the banners for their displays and graphics for the campaign.
As a story-first creative agency, we were able to serve ChildFund through video and photography captured on-location in Mozambique in 2020 which we incorporated into video and designs that were utilized at WinterJam for their child sponsorship campaign.

In January 2020, we were invited to travel to Mozambique, Africa with ChildFund(501(c)(3) organization that connects children with what they need to grow up safe, healthy, educated and skilled, no matter where they are.) to document the progress that had been made in the sponsored community. We shared the end results of the project for ChildFund in a recent blog post. In this article, we are going to share some behind-the-scenes photos and the story of transformation that this community in Mozambique experienced because of child sponsorship.
Jeremy originally visited this village in Mozambique in 2018 for the first time because his son, who was 6 years old at the time, decided to sponsor a little boy named Sbsossiso who lived there. Jeremy describes the heart behind his trip:
“I went there for an entire month because I wanted to live amongst this group of people that were living in extreme poverty all the time and I wanted to be immersed into their situation to better understand it.”
Jeremy described the living conditions as challenging at best. They had one meal a day and access to water was a one-hour walk one way. If the well was dry or too far down for the children to reach they drank from the puddle on the ground shown in the photo above.
“Every day in the village there was a funeral, one day there was 3. All dying because of the water they had to drink.”
This lit a fire inside Jeremy. He began sharing the stories of these children on his social media to raise financial support for them through sponsorship.
“Every morning I woke up I would go find another child that was waiting to be sponsored. I’d take their picture and type out a little story and post it on Instagram hoping someone would see it. And all throughout the country people began to respond… It was my greatest joy every afternoon to return back to those homes and tell those children that they had been matched with a sponsor in America that would begin walking with them.”
This is a short video of a little girl who was told that she had been sponsored:
So many children in this community were sponsored that ChildFund was able to put in a clean water well. GLBAL media, was able to return with Jeremy, to the village to document the transformation that took place. Jeremy recalls his return visit in 2020:
“One of the most amazing privileges I had, was earlier this year I had the opportunity to go back… many had been sponsored for a complete year.”
He specifically noted the positive change in their faces, food supply, water, and clothing. GLBAL media was honored to partner with ChildFund to tell the story of this communities transformation through photography and video.
GLBAL media’s role in the ChildFund project in Mozambique:
We were specifically hired for photography, drone filming, camera 2 for an interactive-video campaign, and 360 filming for a virtual reality experience.
A year ago GLBAL media was honored to work with ChildFund for the Lauren Diagle World Tour. We were able to serve ChildFund in many ways through nonprofit campaign development as well as on-site video and photography.
This nonprofit campaign also included a 12-month Letter Writing Kit that we created and designed for new sponsors.
This interactive kit provided sponsors with prompts to write to their sponsored child(ren) every month. The perforated pages made it simple for them to write directly in the book and remove to mail to their sponsored child(ren). We also designed custom-printed water bottles for the new sponsors.
GLBAL media also designed ChildFund’s custom banner and table display, as well as volunteer vests and flags.
